  8. Here is my story starter for Aladdin. . .
Welcome to Agrabah! A city of wonders where dreams come true, where evil lurks, where love conquers all. Aladdin, who is a mere street rat, scampers through to city, steeling food. He desires to live in place, surrounded by gold, yet that is almost impossible.

Jasmine, the princess of Agrabah, despises her life imprisoned by the towering palace walls. She yearns for freedom as she is being forced into marriage. Jasmine has 3 days left to find a suitable husband, yet she has turned them all down!
Unable to block her longing, Jasmine escapes and enters the life of an ordinary commoner. On her journey through the streets, she captures the eyes of Aladdin.

    • I love that the musical has inspired you to write Jess! I like your verb choices, they ‘show’ rather than simply ‘tell’ the reader.
