Do taller people have larger skeletons?

We investigated this question in class today. We measured, compared and drew conclusions as we worked in groups measuring our own hands, legs and height.

Do you think that people who are taller have larger skeletons? Explain your reasoning when you let us know your thoughts.

  1. I think taller people have larger skeletons because our bones go through our whole body so the taller people will have longer and larger bones. The work looks amazing and I can’t wait to see what the answer is!

  2. Not all the bones of a tall person is larger. For example a tall persons femur could be shorter than someone who is shorter than him/her but it could be he’s femur and tibia which is much larger therefore making him tall
