Foundation Stage had a lovely time at Glapton Woods this morning where we worked in teams to create large maps of the woods. The children were fantastic at identifying different features of the environment and used positional language to describe where different places were in relation to each-other.
They added things they had found in the woods to show different areas as well as labelling their drawings and using photographs taken from the previous visit to make sure their maps had as much detail as possible.
The children showed excellent resourcefulness in finding the things they needed, they listened to each-others ideas and worked collaboratively to create some beautiful products. Well done everyone!
