Over the last few weeks, we have been taking part in the RHS Big Soup Share. Using vegetables and herbs from our allotment (and some from the market too!), we made a lovely Autumn Vegetable Soup. Our soup was homemade by the children who helped to wash, peel and chop the pumpkin, potatoes, carrots, parsnips and curly kale.
With help from two Year 4 ‘Souper Chefs’ today, we held a ‘Soup Kitchen’ and served our BRW Allotment soup with a crusty Tiger Bread loaf this morning that was a big hit with everyone!
We think it was a perfect addition on a damp and windy Autumn day!
