The Eco Warriors are back!

Today, we had our first Eco meeting. It’s a big job trying to save the world, so we had lots to do!

We started by introducing ourselves, then we talked about our aims for this year. We focused on the nine Eco-Schools topics:

Waste
Energy
School Grounds
Biodiversity
Water
Global Citizenship
Litter
Transport
Healthy Living

We thought about how we are going to aim to progress each of these topics throughout the year.

Whilst we were doing this, we tried some Fairtrade chocolate. It was delicious and definitely helped us to think of more ideas.

Why is it important to try and buy Fairly Traded products?

After that, we started planning our first Eco Assembly, which will be next week.

Keep an eye on the blog for news from us.

What would you like us to achieve this year?

How can we spread our Eco-friendly attitude around our school and home community?

Please comment your ideas or come to see us!

  1. Fairtrade is so important because the farmers farm lots of things: coco beans, bananas, corn and they milk cows but when we buy something that is not fair trade then all the money is spilt out through companies and the farmers barely get anything! Yet, when we buy fair trade items, the farmers get more of the money because they farmed it in the first place. Plus, fair trad enfold tastes no differnt to normal food so you should always buy fair trade.

  2. I am really excited for being an Eco-amdassador. Maria Sol and I will lead the school by helping it be Eco-friendly. Let’s earn the green flag and show the other schools that we love Eco!!!🌲🐝🐞🌴🍃🌺🌷🌹

  3. The eco warriors, along with Miss Cotter who has taught me alot about eco, has made learn alot about being eco friendly and saving our planet and helping other people that have to clean up the things people just chuck on the floor and forget about our planet. They can just either recycle the stuff they dont need or or if it is like a water bottle or clothes you dont like you can just reuse it by making it into a teddy or you can reuse the bottle by filling it up again or using it for crafts. The eco warriors have done alot for the plant and helping them grow, with the help of Miss Cotter! GO ECO TEAM!
