Ash Wednesday Mass

On Wednesday the whole school gathered for the Ash Wednesday Mass at Corpus Christi church. We really enjoyed going over the Church as it was a special time. Father Wilfred lead us through the reflective celebration.
Some students from our school community read the readings and some prayers to help us reflect on how important this day is!
Parents and families were all invited and it was a lovely time to reflect and be calm as we enter our Lenten journey.
The liturgy team, Fr Wilfred and some teachers gave out the ashes and placed them on our forehead as a sign of our faith and love for Jesus.

We spent time in prayer as that is one of the pillars of lent. Prayer is really important through-out lent as it helps to come closer to Christ and reflect on ourselves!

Our mission for you is to remember to prayer, fast and give through lent. Take some time out of your day to prayer for your friends, family and loved ones.

Jessica and George.
