Take a look at these rousing speeches created by Year 6. Having studied the Battle of Marathon, between Ancient Greece and Persia, we were inspired to encourage and enthuse the Ancient Greek army to fight for their land. The imperialistic Persians were proving a great threat, but with some emotive language, imperative verbs and figurative devices, we’ve manage to create some very convincing calls to battle that would persuade any audience member!
What do you think? Would you help the Ancient Greeks defeat the Persians? Which features persuaded you most effectively?
It was really fun writing this and I hope to do something like this in the future.
I was super exited to practice my invasion game skills with Gorden this year because it would be my last year with Gordon!
Making this piece of write was so fun and these versions are inspiring.
I especially enjoyed doing this writing assessment because you got to use loads of figurative vocabulary and use persuasive devices.
