I am pleased to announce that we will be offering all parents and carers an online training session on Building Resilience.
Resilience is the ability to bounce back from difficulties. This is even more important to consider for our children and young people during the Coronavirus pandemic. Resilience is one of the five core values at Blessed Robert Widmerpool and a key part of supporting children and young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health. Building resilience is a focus for this academic year in school. This training will help parents and carers understand:
• What resilience is
• Why resilience is important
• How parents and carers can help to build resilience
The session will take place on Thursday 10th December at 11am and all are welcome. The session will be led by our SENDCO, Mrs Henderson and Educational Psychologist, Nina Purewal and will last around one hour taking place virtually using Microsoft Teams with plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
If you would like to take part in the training, email admin@brw.nottingham.sch.uk
