What is Earth Hour?
Hello everyone! Tomorrow (27th March) is a very exciting day indeed… it is Earth Hour! This is a day dedicated to connecting millions of people around the planet, in reducing our energy consumption and being kinder to our planet.
It’s a great way to connect with people and spend some quality time with you family, doing activities that don’t require electricity. So, at 8:30pm tomorrow, switch off the electricity and do some of the following activities.
How can we get involved?
- Read a book with torches
- Dinner in the dark – use some candles
- Play board games using candles as your light source
- Join virtually to one of the Earth Hour streams.
- Movie night!
- Camp in your garden
- Night time photography
- Write a letter to your future Eco Warrior self
- Have a dance party
- Yoga
- Shadow puppets
- Indoor scavenger hunt
- Quizzes
- Candle lit painting
- Dancing or hold a silent disco

It sounds amazing! I think I’m going to make shadow puppets and read a book with a torch.
