Facts About Animals

I’m doing a blog about animals. Animals are unique in there own ways for example the way animals hunt. A bear will use its paws to hunt for food like salmon. However an owl will fly silently and use its claws.

Some animals and fish live in groups, in class we discovered there were some interesting names for them like a waddle of penguins and a tower of giraffes.

Animals sometimes have to adapt to where they live in our beautiful planet. Camels have adapted to there climate by growing thick and long eye-lashes to keep the sand out of there eyes. In the Caribbean, pigs have adapted to there by learning to swim, this really helps them because they don’t have sweat glands so it helps them cool down.

Finally, here are some interesting facts about animals. Gorillas can catch human illnesses like colds. A new-born Chinese water deer is so small it can nearly be held in the palm of a hand. An ostrich can run faster than the roar of a male lion. A female lion does 90% of the hunting each year.  A bat is the only mammal that can fly. A tarantula can survive up to two years without food.

What interesting facts do you know about animals?
