Last week, we had so much fun with Greek maths! We did a maths graffiti on fractions and geometry and also included a clever, Ancient Greek maths genius called Pythagoras.
Pythagorus was Greek and was a mathematician. He created a theory named after himself called “the Pythagoras Theory”. A summary of this theory would be “a squared+b squared =c squared”.
Year Six used this knowledge with working out the areas of rectangles and even triangles. Our maths graffiti was filled with reasoning, problem solving and diagrams in no time!
It was really interesting to learn about Greek Maths and Archimedes’ formula.
