The last half of the summer term is here already! Although it was a short first half term, we have definitely packed so many exciting things in to it. Holy Communion Mass, sports days and class assemblies to name but a few!
We gathered as a school family to celebrate mass for the children who made their First Holy Communion this term. Fr Wilfred led a beautiful mass and each of the children had a special part to play. The congregation had tears in their eyes throughout as they listened to their uplifting reading and singing. This is such a special celebration and it was so good to share this with all of our families and friends. We also enjoyed sharing the delicious cake that Claire our cook made afterwards and sharing this special time with the children and their families. God Bless all the children and we will keep them all in our prayers. We also pray for those children who will be making their First Holy Communion in India this year.
The BRW Sports Days went ahead in wonderful weather this term. The children showcased their excellent sporting and teamwork skills in a host of track and field events and demonstrated some excellent skills. All House Teams performed fantastically and should be very proud of their achievements. There was an amazing turnout of supporters for each sports day, which was lovely to see. Well done to all the children who took part. Enormous thanks to all those who came to support and to those who took part in the family races this year!
I must say ‘WELL DONE’ to all of our Year 6 children. They have demonstrated such determined and focused attitudes to learning in the in the run up to and during their recent assessments. Every single pupil rose to the challenge and performed with confidence. We are extremely proud of them all. Enjoy your last term Year 6 and I look forward to seeing you grow and shine even further in your final term at BRW!
Please come along to our Open Afternoon on June 27th at 2:00pm where you will have the opportunity to take part in your child’s learning and share in their experiences. PE sessions will be taking place and Science will be the focus of learning in all of our classrooms. I look forward to seeing you there.
