question 2 take away 550 p to make 5 pound
2 take away 50 p to make 5 pound *correction*
2) you have two 2 pounds and three 50ps which 5.50 take away 50p £5.00
1)27
2)£5.50
3) 26
4) 182
5)£8
1) By doing 20-7, I got the answer 13!
2)£2 add £2 equals £4,so adding one 50p to £4 equals £4.50. To make £5,you would need to add on another 50p. However, since you can’t leave out the last 50p, you would have to add it onto your total to make £5.50.
3)The missing number is 26. I worked this out by subtracting 14 from 18, which equals 4. I did this because to find the answer, you need to work out the difference.
4)182
5) The answer is 8. I got this answer by multiplying 2 by 4, which equals 8.
Even though I’m not a Year 3 child I decided to give it ago!
1) 27 – 30 = 7 if you did 13 – 20 then you will end up in the negatives
2) You will need £1.90 to make the £5
3) 14 18 22 26 32
4) one hundred and eighty-two = 182
5) £2 × £4 = £8 Four plant pots = £8
This was a great maths challenge 👍
