Year 3 along with Year 4, had a lovely time at New Walk Museum today, learning even more about the Ancient Egyptians. I was very proud at how much the children were able to answer the curator’s questions – clearly great listening skills in class!
We handled actual artefacts from Ancient Egypt, dressed up as them, had a go at a bow drill and made clay amulets. After lunch, we explored some of the other galleries and got to crawl underground with the animals, compare our size next to dinosaur bones and even see if we could stamp an earthquake. We had so much fun some even needed a sleep on the way back!
