I have a really simple, low resource but skillful challenge for you this week, from the Explorify Science website – What’s the longest paper strip you can make from one sheet of newspaper with no joins?
I can’t wait to hear how you get one with this one!
Exciting News everyone, some children have sent their pictures in, look at these!
We got a paper from a newspaper report and we ripped a little bit out but left a bit and then we started folding it one way and the other and the bit we left we turned to do it again and kept on doing it over and over again and it actually became quite long.
Did you take a photo? Have you a tape measure to measure it? That sounds exactly right Lily – well done.
Mrs Byrne ๐
It was a fun challenge, I made 1340 cm but my mom cut off 200 cm wen she tried to mesure it.
Fantastic! I hope you didn’t tell your mum off Alex ๐ 1340 cm is a great length. What would that be in metres and cm?
I wonder if anyone can beat that!?
1340 in metres= 13.4
1340 in cm= 1340
Correct. Well done Katie!
