Jacob is our Year 6 blogger this week!
This term in year 6 we have started swimming! I really enjoy swimming and often go at the weekend. At the moment, I am focusing on my health and diet so I decided to research what benefits swimming has on the human body.
Swimming has a lot of different health benefits and I have listed them below in a format which is easy read
Health benefits of swimming
- Keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body.
- Builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness.
- Helps maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs.
- Tones muscles and builds strength.
It is recommended that children should do 60 minutes or more on a daily basis. Swimming is an affordable, accessible and enjoyable form of exercise for everyone. My family and I really enjoy swimming and would highly recommend this to everyone.
