Switch-Off Fortnight!

We celebrated the close of Switch-Off Fortnight by summarising all we have learnt over the last couple of weeks through research at home and school.

The below videos are just snippets of the wonderful work the Year 6s have done – their contribution to saving and prolonging our beautiful planet!

What other advice can YOU offer?

  1. I loved all the videos but what do you think is the best way to save the energy we use? My favourite way is turning things off when I don’t need it

  2. I really enjoyed this Eco lesson. I also enjoyed presenting Eco facts in different ways. Stay Eco.🌱

  3. While we were filming we couldn’t stop laughing so we had to keep on refilming it over and over again. ;):)

  4. Our switch off fortnight lesson was to either make a poster, PowerPoint, video etc. Me and Beatrice made a rap to get the point across that we should save energy when ever we can 🙂

  5. Switch off Fortnight was really fun because we got to do stuff like videos, posters, PowerPoints and so much more. I made a video with Jack and it was really fun because we learnt new facts!

  6. I think that the switch of lesson was very fun because it was different and not what we would usually do. My partner and I did an I movie and we gave so many examples of how to be eco friendly.

  7. I’ve got a fact about Eco and waste, wales came second in the national waste year and Germany come first, but the bad news is that England came 18th, which isn’t sent the best. When i told miss cotter she was a bit disappointed but 18th isn’t the best, but it’s also not the worst. We really need to step up our game, COME ON BRW WE CAN DO IT!!!!

    • You’re right Marcel. We have a long way to go, but I think we can do it. 🙂 Please look into what Wales are doing and let me know – I’m intrigued to know!

  8. i think in future we could have a school assembly without using any energy. i know it sounds very challenging but i think we can do it!
