We had an excellent World Book Day in Year 3. First, we had an amazing assembly led by our school librarians and we got the chance to show off our fabulous and imaginative outfits!
We then had a ‘Booky Debate’ in which the children had to persuade others to read their book – there were some very persuasive arguments, During our usual Music lesson, we even managed to learn a great book-related song (watch this space for the video)
We also had a Book Bingo and whilst our class librarians went and read ‘Mabel and the Mountain’ to Year 1, we had a the same story read to us by Elyon and Dion. What a treat. Later, some of us managed to visit the Reading Cafe and enjoy the cakes and listen online to some of our teachers read books too. Phew!
