Year 3 Forest Schools Viking Day

Year 3 had a fantastic day at Compton Verney this week and immersed themselves in how life would have been really like for our Viking Invaders. We learned more about settlements and building homes, lighting fires, using wattle and daub to make fencing, making bread, writing in runes and even got to play some Viking games.

We got to get quite messy, but also worked really well as teams and learned the true meaning of resilience when we struggled to light our fire or build our shelter…but yes, we could all feel proud we succeeded! The children certainly needed a well-deserved rest on the coach back.

Any questions for our Viking experts?
