Year 4 WOW Word of the Week

In Year 4 we always love to learn new words and challenge ourselves to use them in our conversations and writing.

Which new words have you learnt this week?

This week, my new favourite word is…..

 

blunder

It’s a nouns, it means a simple or careless mistake!

Try to use it in your own sentence. Here are some examples…

It was a costly blunders.

We blundered along through the woods until we finally found the trail.

Another skier blundered into his path.

 

It can also be a verb! For example, you can blunder, when you make a mistake or are careless i.e.

 

He blundered through his assembly lines because he had no practised them at home!

  2. I made a big blunder when I broke my mum’s greenhouse window with a ball when me and my mum were playing bowls.

    (this is true oops)

  3. Isla made a blunder when she accidently stuck her hand on a freshly painted
    windowsill!!!! (true story) πŸ™‚
