Story starter

Placing the final lantern against the twisted, ancient oak, he turned and appreciated his work. The night that was relished and cherished by all folk who lived in and around the mystical wood of Myr was here again. Surely this year would be a success. Surely the elves, fairies, dwarves and nightlillies would all turn up on time and enjoy a night of fun and festivities. He could do no more now except sound the Horn of Anelina to signal the beginning of the party. Reaching down he suddenly froze! Reaching down he realised the space where the horn should be was empty. Then he spotted the note…

  1. Then he spotted the note that read the mystical, forbidden tale of the daunting winding way. The daunting winding was a proscribed lane in the ominous forest, no one HARDLY ever goes there because of it’s blood-curdling myths. He stood in panic and tried to forget about what he had all read about but it was immensely difficult. After a few moments passed he heard a soft crunch of leaves behind him, he shot his head in the direction it was coming from it stopped…he slowly turned his head back facing the torn card. There was the noise again but mysteriously louder he stayed absolutely motionless whilst the creature passed by. Slowly, the boy started walking forwards until the animal was sure someone was in the suspicious woods with him. Who on earth was this monster?…

  2. So many thoughts and questions filled his head, what did it say? Where was the horn? He looked around anxiously, did he do all this work for nothing? Then a thought struck him, he should read the note. Concerned, weary and infuriated, he read the note as fast as a cheetah. ‘Are you wondering where the horn is, for your silly little party? Next time, invite your brother…’ Perturbed, troubled and fatigued, his mind swirled and swirled as if he was on a roundabout, what could he do? The note itself seemed to have the soul of his brother. He never liked to talk about his brother… His parents always told him he was a betrayer, a disgrace to their family. But was he supposed to just stand there? Pretend he didn’t know that he had a brother? Pretend his whole life was a lie?

  3. This was a disaster, if the note was speaking the truth, they would all be doomed. He looked up at the confused audience, who wondered why he hadn’t blown the horn yet. Maybe it wasn’t to late, but that was impossible. He looked at the note again, it was the same, just like last time. It read: ‘If you are reading this, we, the goblins of the Bwa’ Kell tribe are here to invade your forest just like last year, however, this time we have a troll on our side, and as you may already know, the horn that was meant to be with you is the horn of Anelina which has the power to manipulate everyone to doing what the horns blower says (if they want to manipulate everyone, that is) . With this horn we have the power to rule all four tribes of the elves, dwarves, fairies and Nightlillies.’ If this was actually from the Bwa’ Kell tribe, they were all going to die tonight. At a festival that was meant to bring back happiness to the mystical wood too. It couldn’t end like this. Not after all the triumphs if our tribes. They couldn’t die to the Bwa’ Kell. Was this really the end? Unless…

  4. In a panic he glanced all around him to see if anyone or anything was there! But all he could see was the beautiful, shimmering reflection from the glowing ball in the sky that was lighting up the whole wood. The tall trees stood calm and still like prey being watched by its predator. The fireflies, fluttering, happily in the midnight fog and the twisting, twirling vines that hung above the carpet of flowers that were as red as blood! Slowly and wearingly he reached down and gently picked up the note which read:
If you want your horn back
make your way to the track
follow the path to Goblins Cave
Come alone it’s time to be brave!
He felt scared, but at the same time was angry at the naughty goblin for taking the horn of Aneline. He wanted to call for help, but without the horn he couldn’t.

  5. On the crumpled piece of parchment it read ‘Sorry but I will be holding the party this year’ he gazed down at the paper as his jaw dropped. “Who did… how…why” stuttered the large red fox. As he dropped the small note it blew gently in the chilling wind and crept over the edge as it swirled down into the misty water below.

  6. His eyes widened. His hands were shaking. He read the note. In a panic, feeling as if this year would be yet another failure, he set off to find the missing horn of Anelina, determined and hopeful that he would find it and be able to blow it as this year, or so he thought, would be a success. He dashed through the enchanting, majestic woods as fireflies passed him, owl’s bellowed softly, the night had come alive! Sprinting, dodging and panting he search desperate and desolately, losing hope and believing that this year would be sure to be a huge FAIL. Guilty, he worried that the majestic creatures would yet again not be able to experience the night of fun and festivities. Suddenly, out of nowhere came a bright sparkle. He froze. Could this be the horn? He approached the light. He reached out his hand and to his surprise… it was a HUGE party! The elves, fairies, dwarves and nightlillies had planned this! He jumped, which accidentally made a dwarve jump, but they all had fun doing the festive activities and the night shone brightly in the magic sky.

  8. Don’t touch, he was shocked, he had no idea why it was here. The glistening lanterns froze and rain stopped mid-air. The wind still howling, vines shuck suddenly. Mythical trees swayed whilst autumn leaves fell. Rainbow glowing butterflies sat on the ancient twisted oak log. What was going to happen.

  9. He almost read the note… All of a sudden he heard whispers in his ear. They sounded like I’m coming. He thought he was loosing his mind. He went to go and see the dwarfs and fairies to see if they could see what was going on and hopefully they could help him but he wasn’t sure if they could. On his way he could hear the whispers again so he just shook his head and carried on going.

He finally got there when everything was empty…He started looking around and he found everyone in one little room. It was strange. He slowly crept in and asked if they could help him. But first he asked what was wrong and why are they so worried about something. One of them said that they knew why he was there, but how? They said that there was someone looking for him, but why him? What was so special about him in particular? So they needed to figure it out… All of a sudden, he heard, ‘ill be back!’

    THE END

  10. It read, “Meet me at the park tonight if you want this horn, and DON’T bring anyone else.” Everywhere he looked, everyone in his sight seemed suspicious. He glanced at all the trees and he thought, “Why would anyone want to ruin this?” Staring at the trees once again, he noticed the lights had flickered off. In a flash, it was as dark as a cave. Wondering who was behind this mysterious activity, he made his way to the park and there he saw a silhouette in the distance. Suspecting that was the man that had brought him here, he cautiously walked towards him. To his surprise, when he had reached he wasn’t met with a man, but a scarecrow. He scanned his surroundings, yet found nobody. In fear that he had been tricked, he searched the scarecrow frantically. In the straw pocket, he found another yellowed note. This one however, was tied together with the Horn of Anelina attached to it…

  11. He clasped the crumbled, grimy note in his coarse hands. Bewildered, curiosity seeped into his body and questions swirled around him like a twirling tornado. What was this note? Why was it left here? Who wrote it? CRASH! Before he could even think to open it, one of the ivory, flickering lanterns crashed to the emerald, sleek grass. He scurried through the mist and to the dim, shattered lantern. Unfortunately, blazing, scorching flames engulfed the hanging vines! As fast as a cheetah, he got rid of the flames and looked down at the singed vines in exhaustion. What was he going to do now? Sweat cascaded down his forehead as he thought of the note. He carefully untied the note and read it: ‘Whenever you need help, call to the fairies and give a loud yelp’ After he did what the note told him to do, hundreds of alluring fairies came and mended the area and at once dwarves, elves and nightlillies came to the party. The man was full of glee. He once felt broken, now he was better.

  12. He searched frantically around with the note in his hand, after a minute he finally read the note it said “come find me” He had no idea who wrote the note and hoped it was a foolish trick. He shouted “who are you? Bring back my horn” all he heard in reply was a cheeky giggle. He caught a Glimpse of somebody with brown hair in the trees so he crept up to get a better look at them. When he got to where the mysterious person was hiding they had disappeared and left only a note.

  13. The note ,clasped in his blistered, battered hands “the raid starts…. Tonight”. Worried, he ran desperately trying to sound the horn. The cold ,icy night, which had frozen the river, had split. Hundreds or thousands of eyes pure red, crimson, he couldn’t count them he had no time log after log, bug after bug. He had reached the hazel, lumber horn.He sounded it as fast and Loud as he could,” I guess it will be the same as 10 years ago,” he mumbled in his broken voice. The dwarfs had finally came charging at these, goblins? Never mind he thought he grabbed his sword and axe and charge along the others. Would this be then end for this dwarf?

  14. With the suspicious note in his hands, he walked depper & deeper into the forest, not knowing where he would end up. He heard birds tweeting and singing peacefully and fireflies making little lights and as he started to read the note, he tripped! The wind carried the note into the sky as he jumped right back up and started chasing it. What was going to await him? Where will it lead him? Will he be safe? ‘COME…FIND…ME…’

  15. This was a disaster! Someone had stolen the horn, what was he going to do? He searched in a terrible panic until he finally remembered that he had to read the note first. Trembling, he read the aged parchment in terror… Come Find Me! it said. He leapt up and searched around hurriedly for clues… there weren’t even any footprints. Without knowing what he was doing he scrambled for anything that would tell what was going on. Without warning, he noticed a cloaked figure in the distance, with what seemed to be his precious horn. “Give it back!” he bellowed as he drew his sword from his belt and began to give chase. Quickly, he scrambled through the undergrowth however they mysterious figure had vanished into the murky darkness…

  16. He was terrified! This was a massive disaster. He quickly looked around him to see if the horn was near. He stood up and started searching everywhere while he heard mysteriouse howling noises as if there was a werewolf right behind him! Rain started dropping down heavily until it became hail. The boy was cold and freezing as the strong hail dropped on his shaking head. Mysteriously, he wondered, Who wrote the note? Why did he write it? What did he want? But then, unexpectedly, he heard gloomy whispers behing him…..

  17. He froze in pure shock, what tomfoolery had he discovered? The strange note had a pretty, glistening spark to it and read,”For you have found our note you are the one that may access the number code for our grotto”. The number was “657347” what had he accomplished he had no idea that he had become the leader of the grotto! So, he looked into the nightlight of darkness and prayed “Lord for I have found this note please shine your light on me” and on the back of the note it said the name of the grotto so he knew were to find it. “Roxon grotto” as soon as he turned his one beedy glistening eye on the name he sprinted and sprinted and sprinted until… Within hours, he had found a colossal Roxon grotto he couldn’t believe his eye’s he had done it!

  18. then he spotted a note in the mysterious forest there was howls nearby he looked around but he didn’t see anything! He was terrified, rain was starting to come down from the blue, cloudy sky it dropped heavily down. After some minute he heard something behind him! Suddenly, he thought he saw a shadow but there was nothing.so he read the mysterious note, but then unexpectly, he heard whispers behind him…..

  19. A note you have never seen before it said ” hello, meet me in a magical house of thing you have always dreamed of.” He began to think about if this was a good idea to go to a magical house was this real or fake? Would they do something to him? He had made a decision and had decided not to go. So he just stayed were he was. For 30 minutes until, he heard a weird sound. It laughed, but not any normal type of laugh it was like a haunting laugh. What could it have been.

  20. It laughed, but not any normal type of laugh t was like a haunting laugh. What could it have been.

  21. As he bent down to pick it up, he realised that is was cold and damp. He read it to his curiosity. To his disbelief, someone stole it. He gasped in shock, horror and embarrassment. Still down, he wondered: “Who took it? Where is it?”
As worried as an injured animal, he felt like he should go look for it. As he was going, he ran like a bull. He ran and ran. It shook the intense ground, as the air felt cold and lifeless, wondering, “Why bother?”
As he was going to give up, he shook his head and kept on running. It began to rain and water fell from the dark, unclear sky. He walked and walked, the soil got wetter and wetter, and in his mind he was going to give up. For a brief moment, he froze and looked up, he saw in awe. Finally, he found the horn of Anelina, placed it back where it was, then blew it to start the party. However, he still wondered and asked himself, “Why did the person or animal put it up the tree while they were walking around?”

  22. Hanging the terminal latern on the old rickety tree. He rotated his full body to see his brilliant work. The night that was delighted and cherished by all folks surrounded by tree and branches. Surely this year would be a fabulous success. The bright burrtefly was flying all around the tree stump. The sky was as blue like fresh water. The tree was as green as grass. The wind was slithering through the trees and the leaves was following tge wind within seconds.

  23. This was bad! Where was it? That was it, I can’t do this anymore. As he read the mysterious note, it vanished as it was some spell. Then all came rushing to him it was the tail of Voldemort! That must be it for he left notes that vanished, all of a sudden, the blissful sky turned into a pitch-black sky that started firing lighting if it was Zeus’s power.BANG! The peach lanterns smashed onto the once silky green, which now was hard as solid rock, immediately the shards turn to mist nothing could be seen except for two glistening, purple eyes seeking revenge. In a second, I pulled my ignited sword, which breathed fire like a mighty dragon. I rushed at him but with a twirl of his cloak, he was gone. Was that real? Was that really him? Why did he need the sacred horn of peace? Where did he go?

  24. Then he spotted the note, he was terrified! There upon the the white of the paper was a story, the title was ‘ hidden myths of the daring forest ‘as I stood

  25. I was terrified! There upon the white of the paper was a story, the title read ‘ The myths of the daring forests’ I stood still to the spot in utter shock. Why was this here? What was it? I heard howling in distance and leaves rustling in the wind. It was one chilly night, so i new i had to get home fast. Without any protection and without any realisation, I walk in desperation to the daring forest. Unfortunately, it began to rain as I strolled along the cobbled path . “ hello “ a voice whispered “ hello”the same voice whispered again I felt unsafe so I ran and ran and ran until I saw the most bone chilling terrifying thing I had seen in my whole life! Why did I not realise I was walking into my death ……….

  26. And the note said “Sorry I need this horn for the party that we are having do you want to join”? The man was really delighted to be invited when he hadn’t even had an invitation to go! He went back to his tiny, ancient, wooden cottage and out of his cupboard he got out his pen and paper and wrote a reply to the elves, fairies and dwarves saying ” hi my name is Thomas and I would love to come and enjoy the party with you. A few moments later, he suddenly left the house and into the cold, dark, foggy wood. A few minutes later, he spotted the burrow where the elves, fairies and dwarves lived. Then he bent down on the bumpy, stone floor and just like as he lost the horn he threw the note that he wrote through the cold, dark hole. Then he waited for a while. He waited and waited until another piece of paper flew out of the hole and it said “OK we are glad that you want to come, the place is just down here on the left see you there.”

  27. This was a disaster, where could the horn be? He checked every spot and there was no horn, he didn’t know what to do but he knew he was in danger. When he gave up on searching for this lost horn he started to see a figure not far from him and heard strange noises repeating. He was getting worried not knowing what was there or what will happen to him. He hesitated then took small steps towards the figure he saw. He thought to himself who took the horn? Why did they need it? and who could do this? Suddenly, he then felt a light touch on his shoulder. Could this be the person who stole the precious horns…

  28. As soon as he had read the note, he decided he needed to gather everyone around to discuss this peculiar series of events. Some time later all the dwarves, fairies, elves, nightlillies and other creatures had shown up. Minty exclaimed, “I do not know what happened, it was like tempting a dog off of a cliff!”. All the guests gasped. “Now who doesn’t like social gatherings?”. Everyone seemed all lost in thought. Soon enough, the whole group had started arguing. Behind them, in the dark shadows, behind the twisting vines and crusty leaves someone or something was lurking in the shadows. What was this thing…

  29. then he spotted the mysterious note and it read “meet me at the ancient oak tree” he rushed over to the other dwarves and told them about the mysterious letter. They felt scared and confused. it was from the elves, and the fairies got the letter too so the dwarves and the fairies teamed up. they bought as much weapons as they could and walked to the ancient oak tree. the elves were all ready there, they were prepared to fight. The winner of the fight owns the land so the battle started, the dwarves and fairies were losing people and the elves were coming closer. Then, the dwarves and the fairies started getting stronger and the elves were losing men, and the dwarves and the fairies were coming closer and closer then when they got so close to the leader of the elves shouted “WE QUIT”! The dwarves and the fairies screamed “we win”! the dwarves and the fairies ruled the land and became unbeatable.

  30. The note said if you like your horn back then meet me at the dark swamp…
So, I did but I brought a company we got there, in the dark swamp there were two scorching red eyes staring back into our souls which made us feel petrified and uneasy. My friend shaking and nervous sweat trickled down his red puffy cheeks.
    how could we escape?

  31. Placing a lantern against the twisted, oak tree, he turned around and looked at his glorious work he had done. That night he went to bed under his canopy and slept, he went to go and check on his glorious work. He said last night that it was properly going to get destroyed but it didn’t. So went out to get food, he met a friend on the way. He walked past the damp, sloppy moss with his friend(John). After that he went to meet his friend again but wasn’t there for 30 minutes, so he left and never went back. He never seen him again…
